Our Club was formed in 1960. Our name was derived from the first name of our City and the square dance maneuver called Curly Q. We have a long history of Square Dancing. We have several members from the original formation of our Club that are still dancing with us. They are Norm and Doris Peterson and Elvina Doyle. Elvina was one of the original signers of the Idaho Federation that incorporated in 1964. This tradition lives on with Elvina’s teen granddaughter, Justine Brown. She learned to square dance at a very early age. She loved dancing so much that she decided to learn to cue Round Dancing and has become very good at it.
As a Club of the Idaho Federation Area 1, we have helped host the Idaho State Festival in 1965, 1981, 1987, 2002 and 2007. We are a very active Club and participate in many community activities. We also have sponsored Club activities such as a picnic, a mystery trip and other social activities
